About this outing
The VELTINS-EisArena has been a fixture of winter sport since 1977. Including the run-out, the artificial ice track is 1,609 metres long with 15 bends. The track grounds are free to visit every day. From October to the end of February you can watch the athletes train, and most competitions are free to watch too. Want more? Book a guided track tour or a ride in the taxi bob, with a pilot at the front and speeds of up to 130 km/h. Taxi bob riders must be at least 16 years old and 1.50 metres tall. Tours and rides must be booked in advance.
